Sentri Supplementary Terms of Use
By using Sentri, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms.
These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the Sentri Discord bot ("Sentri"), a service provided by [BeeHive CyberSecurity] ("Provider"), which is built to enhance your Discord experience. By adding Sentri to your Discord server or otherwise accessing or using Sentri, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use Sentri.
1. Bot Usage and Permissions
Sentri is a Discord bot that provides various features and functionalities for your Discord server.
By adding Sentri to your server, you grant the bot permission to access and interact with your server's channels, messages, and user data as necessary to perform its intended functions. The bot will not store sensitive data, and any data collected will be used solely for providing the bot's services.
2. Compliance with Discord's Terms of Service
Your use of Sentri must comply with Discord's Terms of Service. Any violations of Discord's Terms of Service in connection with the use of Sentri may result in actions taken against your Discord account or server. You are responsible for familiarizing yourself and ensuring compliance with Discord's Terms of Service.
3. Age Restriction
You must be at least 13 years old to use Sentri.
If you are under 13 years old, you may not use Sentri. By using Sentri, you confirm that you meet the age requirement.
4. Responsibility for Content and Actions
You are solely responsible for the content and actions that you and your server members undertake using Sentri. Provider shall not be liable for any damages or consequences arising from your or your server members' use of Sentri. You agree not to use Sentri for any illegal, harmful, or malicious purposes.
5. Privacy and Data Collection
Sentri may collect and store certain data, including but not limited to server configurations, command usage data, and user data for functionality and analytics purposes. The collection and usage of data are subject to our Privacy Policy, which you can find here.
We are committed to safeguarding your privacy and will handle your data in accordance with applicable data protection laws.
5a. Support Data Privacy
Within our Support Discord, we share a gently increased amount of information so that our support agents can have a slight amount of context to help you.
When you perform an action on Sentri that results in an error globally, it dispatches an event accessible to support staff only that contains the following information:
- Command Content
- Invoker ID
- Invoker Username
- Invoker Mention
- Guild Channel Link
- Guild Message Link
- Guild Message ID
- Guild Name
- Guild ID
- Raw Console Output (pertaining to the errored event only, PII-filtered)
When something on Sentri doesn't work right for you, these logs allow you to open a ticket, and for an agent to "roll back" time and see information about why the command didn't work, without having privileged access to any user data you generate during Sentri's usage lifetime.
6. Prohibited Use
You may not use Sentri for any unlawful, harmful, or malicious purposes, including but not limited to spamming, harassment, distribution of inappropriate content, or any other activities that violate applicable laws or Discord's Terms of Service. Additionally, you agree not to interfere with or disrupt the functionality of Sentri or its associated services.
7. Availability and Maintenance
Provider will make reasonable efforts to ensure the availability and proper functioning of Sentri. However, we do not guarantee uninterrupted access to Sentri and reserve the right to suspend, modify, or discontinue the service at any time without prior notice. We will strive to provide advance notice of any planned maintenance or updates that may impact Sentri's availability.
8. Updates and Changes
Provider may update or change Sentri's features, functionalities, or these Terms at any time. Continued use of Sentri after such changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms. We encourage you to review these Terms regularly to stay informed about any updates.
9. Intellectual Property
All intellectual property rights in and to Sentri, including but not limited to copyrights, trademarks, and patents, are owned by Provider. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works based on Sentri without explicit written permission from Provider. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use Sentri solely for its intended purposes.
10. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Provider, its affiliates, officers, and employees from any claims, damages, or liabilities arising out of your use of Sentri in violation of these Terms. This includes any third-party claims resulting from your actions or content posted using Sentri.
11. Termination
Provider reserves the right to terminate or suspend your access to Sentri at any time and for any reason without notice. We may also suspend or terminate Sentri's service as a whole at our discretion. If we decide to discontinue the service, we will provide reasonable notice.
12. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict of laws principles. Any disputes arising out of or related to these Terms shall be resolved exclusively by the competent courts of Delaware.
